I know I haven't been writing.
One of our cats (Missy) has these big bumps on her back and on the base of her tail. We have been avoiding veterinarians because the last one had his heart set on doing a colonoscopy (!?!?!) on our cat then suffering from some diarrhea. We ran out of that office, did some research online, and switched cat food and he's totally fine and he even lost a lot of weight (well, he's still fat but no longer gargantuan).
We finally found a veterinarian (about 1 mile from where we live) and the first appointment went well. Got Missy caught up on her shots. We're looking at about 600 bucks to get those bumps removed.
Then there's the car. We were at our usual gas station, and we, as usual, paid a bit extra to run the car through an automatic car wash. It had previously been one of those brush-less high-pressure hose systems, but suddenly it was made of big red spinning brushes. As the brushes passed over the car, we heard a big bump, and at the end, this was the result.
The owner of the gas station (it is a big chain) told us to get 2 estimates. Still waiting on what they are going to do.
Overall, not a very lucky month. But hopefully things will sort out and who knows, I may yet venture forth from my apartment yet again.
I know it sounds crazy but even the auto "touchless" car washes can be dangerous. Shawn's sister had one of the auto arm things some how crash on her corolla causing a scratch. Hopefully the gas station will make it right but still not fun.
