I hope everyone has had a nice Thanksgiving Holiday. I've been working a lot of shifts this week, but the extra money is nice. A lot of it will have to go to Missy's surgery (223 bucks per bump but at least she's OK and seems to have made a complete recovery), the Car Wash Catastrophe (God damn Circle K to Hell!), and now that god-forsaken "check engine" light has come on in our car. I've done some research online and I'm hoping it will cut off by itself after we found that the gas tank cap was not on very tightly. The car sounds normal and runs OK. I think it's a gimmick to get the car into the garage at the 50,000 mile mark. We'll see. We're driving it like little old ladies for the next few days.
It's been a steady month of bad luck. I've also been dealing with a weird infection in my hand. The battery in the car died a month ago (turns out Jiffy Lube knew what they were talking about when they told me to change the battery the 3 oil changes before). My room mate gets a bad case of pharyngitis/bronchitis. And then all of the other stuff. Makes me worry that I'll slip on a banana peel and break my hip, or maybe walk into a shoot out at the grocery store. Something weird is bound to happen.
OK, off to bed, then another night at work.
