I've been reading all the news about these two whales that have feft the Sacramento River and have finally returned to the Pacific Ocean.
Chuckling, I had to wonder what their Press Ganey surveys will tell us about their treatment during their recovery from what appeared to be injuries sustained when struck by a boat.
It was a long wait, and no one would help them navigate the waters. And folks wanted to turn them away, Even when they got up the secluded area of the river, where perhaps for millions of years, this is the Whale version of a medical spa. There were folks around them at all times, taking photographs.
Then it was discharge time. Folks sneaking up on them clanging metal rods and poles. Pushed down river by burly and impolite fireboats. With an occasional spray from the water cannon when they moved too slowly for them
So it shouldn't surprise us that, when they finally got to the base of the river, they decided to make a run for it, and ditch the 14million balance due.
I don't blame them
