Our cafeteria is open from 12 midnight to 2am for night shift employees. Last night, I was standing next to another hospital employee, and we were looking over the dietary choices for the evening. One of the options was chicken tenders (fried breaded chicken tenderloins). He looks at me and says, "Are those Chicken on my Tenders?!" and gleefully piled a few on his plate.
A few minutes later, we met up at the dessert section. Among the numerous selections were slices of apple pie. He looks at me again and, with a huge grin on his face, exclaims, "Is that Apple on my Pie?!?" and happily places a serving on his tray.
I personally opted for the "Salisbury on my Steak" with a side of "Green on my Beans" and "Mashed on my Potatoes." For dessert, I had some "Bread on my Pudding."
My co-worker had the "Meat on her Loaf" and some "Corn off her Cob." For dessert, she had a "Dough on her Nut."
Well, it seemed funny to me.
